He completes a painting every day and by the end of April he writes to his brother Theo that he will need a new inspiration. Van Gogh finds it in the hundred of Japanese woodblock prints that he has been collecting for years. Inspired from the Japanese artist Hiroshige he creates the Flowering Plum Tree.
